Harris Wilson I has been renamed Silver Swordfish in 2019. The majestic catamaran, one of the most luxurious and spacious catamarans in Mauritius, still departs from Pointe des Régates. It cruises along the east coast to the renowned Ile aux Cerfs. Find out more about the new look of this stunning catamaran.
The story of Harris Wilson I:
This authentic 18m racing catamaran was built in 1994 to participate in the famous "Route du Rhum"; a yacht race across the Atlantic, from Saint Malo to Guadeloupe. The aim was to promote the Harris Wilson sportswear. Croisières Australes got hold of the catamaran in 1998 and converted it into a day charter catamaran. Marc Pinta in La Rochelle, France carried out the structural works and Grande Riviêre Nord Ouest Boat Yard focused on the deck/cabin installation.
The success story of Harris Wilson in Mauritius pushed Croisières Australes to acquire a second similar catamaran, the Harris Wilson 2 (now renamed Spinner Dolphin), launched in 2003.
